Estella Loretto is honored to share the genuine spirit of “Kateri Tekakwitha,” embracing kindness, forgiveness, love, compassion, and joyful peace. On Saturday, August 16, 2003, at the Saint Francis Basilica in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Arch Bishop Michael Sheehan, artist Estella Loretto, invited dignitaries, and the public, celebrated the installation of this bronze sculpture to commemorate the First North American Indian saint as well as the Cathedral’s 150th anniversary.
